We installed this new 66’ x 10’ canal front deck featuring Gossen™ Harbor Grey™ vinyl decking. We first removed over 40 cubic yards of fill dirt and then installed a new timber retention wall to retain the elevation change of the lower deck from the sloped property line. The superstructure of the deck features all 2 x 8 .40 ACQ treated framing with stainless steel framing connectors. The return walls on the retention wall were sloped to conform to the existing topography of the backyard. Finally, one tall piling was installed during construction of the retention wall to allow for an overhead floodlight with a switch and a new water line was installed through the retention wall for water access to the new deck.
